JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Spirit launches on mobile with real-time Stand battles

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Spirit arrives on iOS and Android today, giving fans of Hirohiko Araki's long-running series a new officially licensed mobile RPG. Published by Wanda Cinemas Games, Golden Spirit draws characters and story material from several generations of JoJo while presenting them through Live2D character artwork and real-time battles centred on Stands and their unusual abilities.

Music associated with composer Yugo Kanno's work on the anime also contributes to an experience designed to feel immediately familiar to existing fans. Rather than limiting the game to a single story era, Golden Spirit uses the wider Joestar bloodline as the foundation for its roster and progression. Combat introduces changing conditions including dynamic weather, giving encounters an additional layer beyond simply building the strongest team.

The launch follows earlier testing and pre-release activity and now gives the wider mobile audience its first opportunity to judge progression, monetisation and roster availability. Licensed anime RPGs can generate enormous opening interest, but long-term retention normally depends on how generous character acquisition feels and how often meaningful content is added.
