Reigns: Beyond settles into standalone mobile release after leaving subscription exclusivity

Reigns: Beyond is now available as a standalone mobile purchase, allowing players to experience Nerial's cosmic decision game without subscribing to its former Apple Arcade home. The game casts players as the leader of an intergalactic indie rock band travelling between planets, recruiting unusual musicians and attempting to become famous without destroying the ship or killing the crew along the way.

Decisions use the series' familiar swipe-left or swipe-right interface, but the consequences influence resources, relationships and survival across a much larger journey. The App Store release is priced at $4.99 and supports iPhone and iPad, while Android availability gives the game access to an audience that never had the original Apple Arcade version. More than a thousand decision cards create a large pool of scenarios, supported by performances, space encounters and band-management elements.

Reigns has always worked especially well on phones because its core interaction requires only one gesture while still producing complicated consequences.
