Motorola has started its stable Android 17 rollout, with more than 50 phones confirmed as eligible for the new software. The Motorola Edge 2025 is among the first devices receiving the update, while newer Razr, Edge and Moto G models are expected to follow in stages depending on region and carrier. Motorola's Android 17-based HelloUI introduces Live Updates, additional lock-screen customisation, resizable Quick Settings controls, refreshed haptics, tinted icons and a redesigned volume panel.

Qira, Motorola's AI assistant, is also part of the company's evolving software experience on supported hardware. Publishing a broad eligibility list is important because software support has become a major competitive factor in smartphone purchasing. Google and Samsung increasingly promise many years of updates, forcing other Android manufacturers to provide clearer commitments. Motorola's rollout will not reach all devices simultaneously, and owners should expect regional differences.

Users can check availability through the System Update section of their phones. For mobile gamers, operating-system upgrades can bring graphics, performance and controller improvements in addition to new interface features. A smooth rollout will help Motorola demonstrate that its software support is catching up with improvements already made to its hardware.
