Google's Pixel 11 family enters its first full pre-order weekend following the Made by Google event earlier this week. The lineup consists of Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, all powered by Google's Tensor G6 processor and Android 17. Pricing starts at $899 for the standard Pixel 11 and climbs to $1,899 for the foldable, representing a roughly $100 increase across much of the range. Google has partly offset that rise by making 256GB the base storage capacity.
Camera upgrades, brighter displays and deeper Gemini integration form the main improvements, while the Pro models add the new HiLight notification system around the camera area. Retail availability begins August 20. Launch incentives include trade-ins and retailer gift cards, making the pre-order period financially important for buyers already committed to the new phones.
For mobile gamers, independent Tensor G6 testing remains more important than AI demonstrations because previous Tensor chips have not matched leading Snapdragon hardware during sustained graphics workloads. The coming review cycle should reveal whether efficiency and thermal behaviour have improved enough to narrow that gap.
