POVA's AI Buds Pro are moving into their first weekend after launching in India on August 14. The earbuds combine conventional audio specifications with productivity features intended to justify the AI branding. Hybrid active noise cancellation is rated at up to 48dB, while an eight-microphone arrangement and Voice Pickup Unit support calls and recording.
A dedicated control on the charging case can trigger Quick Note recording, with onboard storage allowing several hours of audio capture without keeping a phone constantly active. Software features include automatic meeting summaries and translation across dozens of languages. Total playback is rated at up to 40 hours with the charging case, and both USB-C and Qi wireless charging are supported.
For mobile gamers, audio latency and microphone quality will ultimately matter more than meeting summaries, so independent testing will be useful. POVA is entering an extremely crowded Indian earbud market where OnePlus, realme, Samsung and audio specialists already compete aggressively. The Buds Pro attempt to stand apart by treating earbuds as portable recording and transcription tools rather than simply headphones with noise cancellation.
