Samsung's Galaxy H1 leak points to the company's first premium over-ear headphones in years

Samsung is reportedly developing a new pair of premium over-ear headphones known internally as Galaxy H1. Evidence discovered in the Galaxy Wearable application points toward a wireless Bluetooth design, potentially bringing Samsung back into a category it has largely ignored since the Level On era. If released, Galaxy H1 would compete directly with products such as Apple's AirPods Max and Sony's premium WH-series headphones rather than the smaller true-wireless earbuds Samsung currently sells.

Detailed specifications remain unconfirmed, but features such as Samsung's high-quality proprietary audio codec, active noise cancellation and Gemini or Bixby integration would be logical extensions of the existing Galaxy audio ecosystem. Reports currently point toward a possible 2027 launch rather than an imminent release. The project matters because Samsung owns a powerful combination of smartphone, tablet, television and audio businesses yet currently lacks a flagship over-ear product carrying the Galaxy name.

Seamless device switching and AI assistance could therefore become major selling points. For mobile gamers, low-latency audio and long battery life would be especially valuable if Samsung chooses to emphasise gaming as part of the eventual product.
