Motorola's Moto G Max is approaching its August 20 Indian sales date after launching earlier this week at ₹27,999. The handset uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, paired with a large 7,000mAh battery. Its 6.72-inch FHD+ display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, while photography is handled by a 50MP Sony LYTIA main camera, an 8MP secondary camera and a 32MP front-facing unit. The phone ships with Android 16-based Hello UI.

Moto G Max is not positioned as a dedicated gaming phone, but the combination of a large battery and high-refresh display makes it relevant to users who spend substantial time playing or streaming. The Snapdragon 6-series chipset sits below flagship performance, so endurance rather than maximum graphics settings is the stronger argument. Motorola is joining a broader industry shift toward batteries well above 5,000mAh, made possible by denser modern cells.

Indian buyers will be able to purchase the phone through Motorola, Flipkart and offline channels beginning Thursday, with introductory bank and exchange offers available.
