The screen-free fitness wearable was shown during Google's post-Made-by-Google briefing in the country and is designed around continuous health tracking rather than smartwatch-style notifications or applications. Removing the screen changes both the purpose and likely battery expectations: Fitbit Air can concentrate on being worn continuously while the user's phone handles detailed data viewing.

Google has not yet confirmed Indian pricing or a precise October release date. The device joins Pixel Watch 5 at a time when wearable companies are increasingly splitting products into two categories: full smartwatches and lighter trackers designed for users who do not want another bright display demanding attention. Fitbit remains one of Google's strongest brands in health technology, and a screen-free design could appeal to people interested primarily in sleep, activity and wellness data.
