Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.5 moves to nine days from launch

Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.5 is now nine days away, with HoYoverse preparing the update for August 26. New characters including Robin • Summeretto and Aventurine • Waveflair are among the headline additions, alongside expanded Astropolis locations, story material and new activities. Star Rail's turn-based structure allows HoYoverse to create new character kits that can substantially alter team composition without rebuilding the underlying combat system every patch.

That makes banner planning especially important for players who have limited Stellar Jade and several established teams already competing for upgrades. Mobile users also need to consider installation size as the game continues adding high-quality voice files, cinematic sequences and explorable areas. Running Star Rail alongside Genshin Impact or other large RPGs can consume a major portion of a 128GB or 256GB phone.

The August 26 launch coincides with the opening phase of Gamescom, giving HoYoverse additional visibility during an extremely busy week for gaming announcements. Players have just over a week remaining to clear current events and prepare upgrade materials. Version 4.5 should carry Star Rail through the final weeks of summer and into the autumn release season.
