Google's Pixel 11 Pro Fold and Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold8 are entering one of the year's most important foldable comparisons. Both run Android 17 and target buyers willing to spend close to laptop money on a phone that transforms into a small tablet. Samsung brings years of foldable experience, mature multitasking tools and strong Snapdragon gaming performance. Google counters with Tensor G6, direct Android integration and a software strategy built increasingly around Gemini Intelligence.

Their physical approaches also differ, giving users meaningful choices around outer-screen proportions, internal display shape and portability.
