Samsung is reportedly developing premium over-ear headphones under the Galaxy H1 name, potentially returning the company to a category it has largely left to Sony, Bose and Apple. Evidence associated with Samsung's Galaxy Wearable software suggests a wireless Bluetooth product designed to sit above the Galaxy Buds range rather than replace it. Detailed specifications and release timing remain unconfirmed, and current reports point more toward a 2027 introduction than an immediate launch.

A Galaxy-branded full-size headset would make strategic sense. Samsung already sells phones, tablets, laptops, televisions and earbuds but lacks a current premium over-ear product capable of competing directly with AirPods Max or Sony's flagship WH line. Features such as seamless device switching, proprietary high-quality codecs, active noise cancellation and Gemini integration would fit naturally into the existing Galaxy ecosystem.

For mobile gamers, over-ear headphones also provide more physical room for large batteries, microphones and potentially lower-latency wireless hardware. Samsung still needs excellent comfort and sound quality because ecosystem integration alone will not satisfy buyers in the premium audio category. The H1 report nevertheless suggests the Galaxy family could expand significantly beyond today's earbuds.
