AFK Journey × Digimon Adventure crossover goes live today with Taichi, Yamato, Agumon and Gabumon

AFK Journey begins its Digimon Adventure crossover today, August 18, bringing Taichi Yagami and Yamato Ishida into Esperia alongside their partner Digimon Agumon and Gabumon. The limited collaboration celebrates Digimon's wider anniversary period with an original crossover story, event missions, Digivolution-related content and temporary rewards.

AFK Journey has increasingly used large collaborations to refresh its live-service calendar, but Digimon is a particularly natural fit because both properties revolve heavily around companion characters and progression. Rather than functioning only as collectible skins, the visiting characters are being integrated into event gameplay and story material. That gives established AFK Journey players a reason to return even if their normal team progression has slowed.
