Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.5 is eight days away from its Astropolis expansion

Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.5 launches on August 26, putting HoYoverse's next update just eight days away. The release expands Astropolis with new story material and introduces characters including Robin • Summeretto and Aventurine • Waveflair. New events such as Overdrive Grand Prix and Minuscule Great Adventure broaden the update beyond conventional banner progression, while changes to Divergent Universe provide additional long-term combat activity.

HoYoverse is also adding a dialogue-speed option, a relatively small quality-of-life feature that could be useful to players revisiting large amounts of voiced story content. Star Rail's mobile edition continues to face the same practical issue as other long-running high-production RPGs: storage. Cinematics, voice files and new environments accumulate quickly, particularly for users who also keep Genshin Impact installed.

The August 26 release coincides with the beginning of Gamescom week, ensuring the game remains visible during an exceptionally crowded period. Eight days gives users enough time to clear current events and prepare upgrade materials without needing to rush. The larger decision is whether the new character kits are valuable enough to justify saved Stellar Jade.
