iQOO Z11S launches with 144Hz AMOLED display and enormous 10,000mAh battery

iQOO is also introducing the Z11S in China today, giving the more affordable performance segment an unusually large 10,000mAh battery. The handset uses a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display capable of a 144Hz refresh rate, making it particularly relevant to users who play competitive mobile titles. MediaTek's Dimensity 7500 provides the processing platform. Battery capacity is the real headline, however.

Reaching five figures inside a conventional smartphone shows how quickly high-density cells are moving out of experimental devices and into commercial products. A large battery does not automatically produce a great gaming phone; cooling, GPU performance, weight and charging speed all remain important. But additional capacity gives players substantially more freedom during long sessions and reduces the need to carry a power bank.

The Z11S arrives alongside iQOO's much more powerful Neo 11 Ultra, allowing the company to attack two performance price tiers simultaneously. International availability remains uncertain at launch. For the wider industry, the Z11S is another strong indication that 7,000mAh may soon look ordinary as Chinese manufacturers push aggressively toward 9,000mAh and 10,000mAh devices.
