Boltt has revealed more details about its first smartphone pair ahead of their August 25 launch. The Ace 5G and Evo 4G both use large 6.79-inch displays with refresh rates up to 120Hz and will ship with Android 16 in a deliberately streamlined configuration that the company describes as free from conventional bloatware. Fire-Boltt built its name primarily through wearables, making the move into smartphones a significant expansion for the brand.

The Ace and Evo share much of their overall design and software identity while targeting different connectivity tiers. Battery capacities around 6,000mAh have also been highlighted in pre-launch material. Entering India's smartphone market is considerably more difficult than entering wearables because competition from Xiaomi, Samsung, realme, Motorola, Vivo and others is relentless. Boltt therefore needs more than recognisable branding to establish itself.

Clean software could become a meaningful selling point if the company genuinely avoids unnecessary preinstalled applications and advertising. The August 25 launch will reveal pricing and remaining hardware specifications and determine whether Fire-Boltt can translate its wearable distribution network into credible smartphone sales.
