Fairphone's Gen 6+ is now officially available directly to American buyers, marking a major geographical expansion for the Dutch repairable-phone specialist. The handset costs $649.99 through Fairphone's own US operation and Amazon and is sold unlocked for compatible networks. The Plus model upgrades to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and 12GB of RAM while retaining a 6.31-inch OLED display, 256GB of storage and the company's distinctive modular design.
Twelve components can be replaced individually, including the battery, screen and USB-C port, using relatively simple tools. Fairphone provides a five-year warranty and software support extending into 2033. Previous Fairphones could be obtained in the United States through Murena, but direct sales significantly simplify both pricing and support. The phone is not trying to beat conventional flagships in raw gaming performance.
Its value proposition is longevity: owners should be able to replace worn components instead of discarding an otherwise functional device. As right-to-repair legislation and consumer interest continue growing, Fairphone's official US arrival makes its approach considerably more visible inside one of the world's most influential smartphone markets.
