Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max receive certification as next flagship launch moves closer

Xiaomi's upcoming 18 Pro series has moved another step toward release after the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max appeared in China's 3C certification database. Certification does not provide a complete specification sheet, but it confirms that the devices are progressing through regulatory preparation and gives additional information about charging support and network compatibility.

The appearance is notable because recent rumours have questioned whether Xiaomi will continue using an Ultra model at the top of the next generation amid sharply higher memory costs. A stronger Pro Max could therefore become strategically more important if Xiaomi simplifies the flagship lineup. The 18 series is expected to target the premium Android market with next-generation processors, high-end cameras and fast charging, although most detailed hardware claims remain unconfirmed.

Regulatory listings are useful precisely because they are more concrete than ordinary social-media leaks while still arriving well before the public product event. Xiaomi has not announced an official launch date. Today's certification suggests development is far enough along that more reliable information should begin appearing soon, particularly around battery capacity, charging and final model structure.
