A fresh leak claims Oppo's unusual wide-screen smartphone will use a genuinely flagship-level camera system built around a 200MP primary sensor and a separate periscope telephoto lens. The device has appeared in earlier rumours as a wider-format smartphone that could potentially carry Reno X branding, although Oppo itself has not confirmed its commercial name. The latest information suggests it may arrive around the same period as the future Find X10 family.

A wider phone could provide meaningful benefits for media, typing and gaming, but it would also create ergonomic challenges if the device becomes uncomfortable to hold one-handed. Pairing the experimental form factor with serious camera hardware suggests Oppo may view it as a premium product rather than a novelty or mid-range design exercise. The periscope lens is particularly important because it would preserve long-range optical capability instead of depending entirely on crops from the 200MP main sensor.

All specifications remain leak-based and could change before launch. Even so, Oppo experimenting with width rather than only hinges and folding screens shows smartphone design still has room to move beyond conventional proportions.
