Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls is no longer available for new Apple Arcade downloads after its scheduled August 20 delisting. Existing players have until September 3 before Konami ends service entirely. The mobile Castlevania has already experienced one unusual resurrection: an earlier free-to-play edition disappeared before Konami rebuilt the project for Apple Arcade without its original monetisation systems.

Grimoire of Souls brings together characters from across Castlevania history in side-scrolling stages with equipment progression and familiar supernatural enemies. Its impending disappearance again highlights a fundamental mobile preservation problem. Once a server-dependent title closes, users can lose access even if they previously downloaded it and invested dozens of hours. Apple Arcade's subscription model makes that issue particularly visible because there is no permanent purchase licence to fall back on.

Unless Konami creates an offline edition, September 3 could become the final day Grimoire of Souls is officially playable. Anyone who already has it installed therefore has less than two weeks remaining to finish outstanding chapters or revisit the game before its second disappearance.
