Bandai Namco's SoulTerra Odyssey remains in soft launch across selected markets including Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the Philippines. The game combines Match-3D object puzzles with roguelite RPG combat, turning successful matches into abilities and attacks rather than treating puzzle boards as a completely separate mini-game. Characters, upgrades and randomised run choices create longer-term progression around those moment-to-moment puzzle interactions.
Soft launch is particularly useful for a hybrid title because Bandai Namco can measure whether casual players understand the RPG systems and whether midcore users find enough strategic depth in the puzzle layer. Monetisation and difficulty curves can also be adjusted before broader release. The comic-inspired presentation gives SoulTerra a distinctive visual identity in a market filled with relatively interchangeable match games.
No worldwide launch date has been announced, so users outside the current regions still need to wait. The current live period is nevertheless large enough to show whether Match-3D mechanics can support a more substantial role-playing loop rather than functioning only as a lightweight casual experience.
