Vivo confirms V80 Lite 5G Malaysia launch for September 3 with 10,000mAh battery

Vivo Malaysia has confirmed that the V80 Lite 5G will launch on September 3, with the phone expected to feature an enormous 10,000mAh battery. The device has also been associated with a Dimensity 7300-series platform, Android 16 and 44W charging in recent retail information. A five-figure battery capacity would have been considered specialist rugged-phone territory only a short time ago, but 2026 is rapidly normalising much larger batteries in mainstream designs.

That change has obvious implications for mobile gaming. High-refresh displays, 5G connectivity and demanding 3D titles can drain conventional batteries quickly, making capacity one of the easiest specifications for consumers to understand. The engineering challenge is maintaining reasonable thickness, weight and charging time. Vivo's September 3 event should settle final specifications, regional pricing and whether every configuration receives the same battery.
