Pokémon TCG Pocket prepares Team Rocket’s Ambition expansion for August 27

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is preparing to launch its Team Rocket’s Ambition expansion on August 27, placing one of the Pokémon franchise’s most recognisable villain organisations at the centre of a new booster set. The expansion introduces new card artwork featuring Team Rocket Grunts and cards marked with the group’s familiar R branding. A sequence of related events will follow immediately after the booster arrives.

Team Rocket’s Special Assignment is scheduled for August 28 through September 29, while an Emblem Event begins August 28 and a Lapras Drop Event follows in September. The continued pace of releases demonstrates how Pokémon TCG Pocket has evolved from a digital card-collecting curiosity into a mature live-service product. Frequent booster drops keep collecting fresh, but they also create pressure for the developers to avoid overwhelming players who do not want to treat every new card wave as a spending event.
