Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls is now firmly inside its final service window after being removed from Apple Arcade for new downloads. Existing players can continue accessing the game until September 3, when Konami plans to shut the service down completely. The closure is particularly notable because Grimoire of Souls has already survived one previous disappearance.

An earlier version was withdrawn before the project later returned through Apple Arcade with its monetisation redesigned around the subscription service. The game brings together characters and locations from multiple periods of Castlevania history, making it something of a playable franchise museum as well as an action title. Its shutdown again exposes a preservation problem unique to server-dependent mobile games.

Once authentication and backend systems disappear, even users who downloaded the software may lose access permanently. Premium console games can often be preserved on discs or through backups; live-service mobile titles are much more fragile. Unless Konami eventually produces an offline build, the next eleven days may be the final opportunity to experience Grimoire of Souls officially.
