Public voting for the GamingonPhone Awards 2026 remains open as the mobile industry heads toward a particularly busy late-August showcase period. Categories cover Mobile Game of the Year, Ongoing Mobile Game of the Year, subscription releases, visual and audio design, voice acting, community achievements and crossover events. Results are due to be revealed in Bangkok on October 28. Mobile awards are becoming more interesting because the category itself is changing.

A few years ago, mobile largely meant titles designed exclusively for phones and tablets. Today, major contenders increasingly share accounts, content and even complete game clients with PC and console editions. That creates awkward but useful questions about what should qualify as a mobile game and which experiences actually make best use of the platform.

Public voting obviously introduces popularity into the equation, but it also gives communities supporting smaller or long-running games a route to recognition beyond revenue charts. With major publishers currently preparing Gamescom announcements and autumn content cycles, the voting period doubles as a snapshot of where mobile-player enthusiasm sits in the middle of 2026.
