Pokémon TCG Pocket prepares Team Rocket's Ambition for August 27

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is only days away from its next themed booster release, Team Rocket's Ambition, scheduled for August 27. The set focuses on Team Rocket's Pokémon and introduces Trainer's Pokémon carrying the organisation's branding, with early previews including familiar names such as Moltres ex, Articuno ex, Zapdos ex, Mewtwo, Persian and Arbok. The booster will be followed almost immediately by related events beginning August 28.

Special missions will award Team Rocket's Shady Tickets, while an Emblem Event runs alongside them. A Team Rocket-themed Lapras Drop Event is planned for September, followed by additional Wonder Pick activity. Pokémon TCG Pocket has developed an extremely fast expansion cadence, and Team Rocket is an obvious nostalgia weapon: the organisation remains recognisable even to players whose Pokémon knowledge comes from decades-old games or animation.

The challenge is maintaining excitement without creating collection fatigue. Every new booster gives active users something to chase, but frequent releases also increase the gap between casual collectors and players who want complete sets. Team Rocket's Ambition should nevertheless generate considerable attention when packs become available later this week.
