Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G launches in India today as the budget 5G fight intensifies

Lava is using August 24 to expand its Virat range in India with the Virat V1 Pro 5G, positioned above the existing Virat V1 models. The company confirmed a noon IST launch and Flipkart availability, with black and white colour options shown in official teasers. Leaked specifications ahead of the announcement point toward a 6.75-inch 120Hz display, a Unisoc T8200-class chipset, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and a 50-megapixel main camera, although final launch specifications should take precedence over earlier leaks.

Lava's wider significance is its attempt to remain a meaningful Indian smartphone brand in a market dominated by Samsung and Chinese manufacturers.
