Realme is preparing another battery-heavy mid-range launch for August 26. The P4s 5G is expected to combine an 8,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging, a 144Hz display and a Dimensity 7400 Ultra-class chipset. If final specifications match current listings, the phone will be particularly interesting for mobile gamers who care more about sustained playtime and screen responsiveness than flagship camera systems.
A 144Hz panel is still faster than most mainstream smartphone content requires, but competitive titles capable of high frame rates can take advantage of the additional refresh headroom. The 8,000mAh battery is arguably more significant. Realme joins a growing group of Android manufacturers turning battery capacity into the specification race of 2026.
Faster charging partially solves the old problem of large batteries taking forever to fill, although thermal behaviour remains important when high-wattage charging and gaming coexist in the same device. The P4s also illustrates how aggressively mid-range hardware has improved. Features that once belonged exclusively to gaming phones are increasingly appearing in mainstream models priced far below premium flagships. August 26 will reveal the final pricing and regional availability.
