Animula Nook brings its miniature life-sim world to Gamescom 2026

Tencent-backed cozy life simulator Animula Nook is heading into Gamescom with a new playable beta build and hands-on demonstrations at Tencent Games' booth. Developed by LilliLandia Games, the title shrinks players into a miniature world called Minietopia where everyday household spaces become enormous environments filled with exploration, crafting and life-simulation activities.

The Gamescom build is important because cozy mobile games are becoming increasingly ambitious visually, and Animula Nook has attracted attention through its detailed environments and unusually small sense of scale. Ordinary objects effectively become architecture, giving the developers a natural way to make familiar spaces feel fantastical without relying on traditional fantasy landscapes. The new beta should provide a clearer picture of how much depth exists beyond decorating and visual charm.

Successful life sims need progression systems capable of sustaining months of play rather than merely providing attractive screenshots.
