Samsung is heading into Gamescom 2026 with a broad gaming showcase spanning mobile devices, displays, storage and gaming audio. Rather than treating gaming as a single-product category, the company is presenting an ecosystem that stretches from smartphones through monitors, SSDs and headsets. That strategy reflects how much gaming hardware has converged. A mobile player might use the same Bluetooth headset with a phone and PC, move captured footage through cloud services and mirror gameplay onto a larger display.
Samsung's enormous hardware portfolio allows it to connect those experiences in ways specialist gaming brands cannot easily match. Mobile devices are particularly important because flagship Galaxy phones increasingly act as portable gaming systems capable of running demanding native titles and streaming PC or console games. Gamescom gives Samsung an opportunity to demonstrate those capabilities beside its larger gaming displays rather than positioning phones as a separate category.
The challenge is convincing consumers that ecosystem integration provides enough value to justify remaining inside one manufacturer's hardware family instead of simply choosing the best individual product in each category.
