NetEase and Naked Rain have given ANANTA a global release date of January 15, 2027 following another major Gamescom showcase. The open-world RPG, previously known for its dense urban environments and exaggerated traversal, will launch across platforms including mobile. The latest presentation expanded the focus beyond Nova City and showed additional areas including Lingyun City, reinforcing the developers' intention to build a world that feels more like a sprawling modern metropolis than a conventional fantasy map.
One particularly notable detail is the project's movement away from a traditional character-gacha structure, potentially changing how players obtain and use its cast. ANANTA has attracted attention because its city appears designed around traffic, shops, mini-games, vehicles and emergent activity rather than simply serving as scenery between combat encounters. The January date gives the team several more months to refine performance across devices.
Mobile optimization will be crucial: dense cities are computationally demanding, and ANANTA's ambition will mean little if only flagship phones can run it comfortably.
