Nexon Games has officially named its long-running Project RX as Fareidolia, giving the Unreal Engine 5 title a clearer identity ahead of its first public demonstration at Tokyo Game Show in September. Developed by RX Studio within the same Nexon Games division associated with Blue Archive, Fareidolia is planned for mobile, PC and consoles.
Players manage the Anima City Restoration Center and live at Tasogare Hall alongside characters called Mates, mixing everyday interactions and relationship-building with more dynamic combat. Nexon has emphasized the contrast between familiar daily life and a world that feels subtly unfamiliar, which explains the Fareidolia name. A new trailer is scheduled for September 17, while Tokyo Game Show attendees will be able to play an early build.
The mobile version will be particularly important because character-driven RPGs are one of Nexon's strongest categories, yet Fareidolia appears significantly more technically ambitious than a traditional menu-based collection game. Its first playable demo should reveal whether the lifestyle systems and combat genuinely form one coherent experience.
