New Galaxy S27 Ultra renders are offering the clearest look yet at what may become Samsung's most dramatic flagship redesign in several generations. The leaked design replaces the familiar vertically separated camera layout with a much wider horizontal camera plateau, immediately drawing comparisons with Apple's and Google's recent flagship styling. Additional reports suggest Samsung may be reconsidering camera arrangement and potentially offering multiple Ultra sizes, although those details remain unconfirmed.

Because the S27 family is still months away, the renders should be treated as pre-release information rather than final hardware. Even so, they indicate that Samsung may be willing to abandon one of its most recognizable design signatures. Smartphone hardware has become visually conservative as displays consume almost the entire front surface, making camera layouts one of the few remaining opportunities for manufacturers to establish identity. A major rear redesign therefore carries unusual branding importance.

If Samsung follows through, the Galaxy S27 Ultra could look substantially less like the S26 generation despite maintaining the familiar rectangular flagship format.
