Indian wearables brand Fire-Boltt has officially entered the smartphone market through its new Boltt line, launching the Ace 5G and Evo 4G. Both devices use 6.79-inch 120Hz displays, 6,000mAh batteries and Android 16, with Google services including Gemini, Circle to Search and Lens integrated into the software experience. The Ace 5G adds 5G connectivity, a faster Unisoc chipset and NFC, while the Evo occupies a lower price tier. Sales are scheduled to begin through Flipkart on September 1.
Fire-Boltt's move is strategically interesting because the company built recognition in affordable wearables, a market where distribution and aggressive pricing matter enormously. Smartphones are far more difficult. Buyers expect years of security updates, repair support, reliable cameras and consistent software, meaning success requires infrastructure beyond simply assembling competitive hardware.
The first Boltt phones therefore function as a test of whether Fire-Boltt's brand can stretch from inexpensive accessories into consumers' primary computing devices.
