Fire-Boltt has moved beyond wearables by introducing the Boltt Ace 5G and Evo 4G in India. Both devices use large 120Hz displays and 6,000mAh batteries, while the Ace adds 5G connectivity and a higher-specification camera package. Sales are expected to begin through Flipkart from September 1. The launch is strategically more interesting than the individual specifications because Fire-Boltt built its reputation primarily around affordable smartwatches and audio products.

Smartphones demand a far more complicated support structure. Buyers expect security updates, reliable repairs, accessory availability and years of software stability from what is effectively their primary computer. The company therefore needs to prove that Boltt is more than another specification-heavy value brand. India's smartphone market is famously unforgiving, with Samsung, Xiaomi, Realme, Motorola, Vivo and Lava all competing aggressively across similar price bands.

Flipkart gives Boltt immediate nationwide visibility, but the harder work begins after the first phones reach customers.
