Vampir opens global registration as Netmarble prepares its vampire MMO for the West

Netmarble is preparing to take Vampir beyond its established Asian markets, opening global registration for the dark fantasy MMORPG on mobile and PC. Vampir first established itself in South Korea before expanding through Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Japan, and Netmarble is now preparing Android and iOS versions for a broader international audience.

The game distinguishes itself from the extremely crowded fantasy MMO category through a gothic world built around vampires rather than the brighter medieval settings common in mobile RPGs. Its international expansion is notable because Netmarble already operates several major global live-service titles and therefore has the infrastructure required for large-scale localization, publishing and ongoing content support.

Vampir will still face the familiar challenge confronting almost every Asian MMORPG entering Western markets: convincing players that its progression and monetization systems respect their time. Registration opening during Gamescom week gives Netmarble an opportunity to reach an audience already paying attention to new cross-platform games. A precise global launch date has not yet been confirmed.
