NetEase and Naked Rain have confirmed January 15, 2027 as the global launch date for ANANTA, giving one of the most closely watched cross-platform RPGs a firm target. The free-to-play title will launch on iOS and Android alongside PC and PlayStation 5. ANANTA distinguishes itself through an unusually dense contemporary city rather than the fantasy landscapes that dominate open-world mobile RPGs.

Players will explore urban districts, drive vehicles, use parkour traversal, participate in combat and interact with multiple characters across the city. That density creates both its biggest attraction and its biggest technical challenge. Simulating traffic, pedestrians, interior spaces and rapid traversal can be more demanding than filling a large wilderness with occasional encounters. Mobile optimization will therefore be closely watched as launch approaches.

NetEase has several enormous projects competing for attention, but ANANTA's urban identity makes it relatively easy to distinguish visually. With the January date now fixed, the coming months should shift discussion away from trailers and toward performance, monetization, cross-platform progression and the actual depth of its city systems.
