Public voting for the GamingonPhone Awards 2026 remains active as Gamescom brings another surge of attention to mobile gaming. The awards cover more than fifteen categories spanning Game of the Year, ongoing games, community, audio, voice acting, subscriptions, updates and other aspects of the mobile industry. Winners are scheduled to be revealed in Bangkok on October 28.

Community-voted awards are not objective measures of quality, but they can provide a useful picture of which games have maintained enough enthusiasm to mobilize their audiences. That matters particularly in mobile, where a successful launch is only the beginning of a much harder challenge: keeping players engaged through months or years of updates. Categories for ongoing games and major updates can therefore reveal as much about the state of the market as conventional Game of the Year voting.

The 2026 field also illustrates how blurred the definition of a mobile game has become, with phone-first releases competing alongside enormous cross-platform titles designed simultaneously for PC and consoles.
