Dave the Diver mobile launch is officially set for September 17

Dave the Diver is coming to iOS and Android on September 17, correcting earlier storefront information that had pointed toward an August release. Developer Mintrocket has now formally confirmed the September date. The mobile version includes content such as the DREDGE pack and the newer In the Jungle expansion while introducing interface changes designed specifically for phones. One of the more playful additions uses the device gyroscope for pouring tea at Bancho Sushi, allowing players to tilt the handset.

Mobile players will also receive three view-distance settings and faster travel between NPCs in the Sea People Village. Dave the Diver is unusually well suited to mobile because its structure naturally alternates between relatively compact diving expeditions and restaurant-management sessions. The remaining question is control precision during busier underwater encounters. Rather than stripping down the original, Mintrocket appears to be treating mobile as another full platform.

Pre-orders are open ahead of the September 17 release, giving one of the year's most notable premium mobile ports a firm date.
