Rogue Reigns sets October 28 launch across mobile, PC and consoles

Independent developer Venn Studios has confirmed that Rogue Reigns will launch on October 28 for iOS, Android, PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series systems and Nintendo Switch 2. The dark-fantasy roguelike deckbuilder is currently using Gamescom to increase visibility, with a limited PC playtest running from August 27 through September 3 and a playable appearance at the Indie Castle community booth.

Rogue Reigns combines party management with card-driven combat and procedural worlds, asking players to build synergies between characters rather than simply assembling one powerful deck. Cross-platform launches of this scale are becoming increasingly common among independent studios because mobile can extend the commercial life of games that were once designed primarily around Steam. The difficult part is interface design.

A card battler can translate naturally to touchscreens, but party management and complex tooltip-heavy systems have to remain readable on small displays. Launching everywhere simultaneously also places pressure on backend infrastructure and certification. If Venn Studios handles that successfully, Rogue Reigns could demonstrate how even relatively small teams can now treat phones as a full launch platform rather than a later port.
