Dave the Diver remains set for September 17 mobile launch with full expansions

Mintrocket's Dave the Diver is approaching its September 17 release on iOS and Android, and the mobile port is shaping up as one of the strongest premium releases of the early autumn. The smartphone edition includes the DREDGE content pack and the newer In the Jungle expansion rather than shipping as a reduced base version.

Mintrocket has also added mobile-specific features, including gyro-based tea pouring at Bancho Sushi, three selectable view-distance settings and faster travel between NPCs in the Sea People's Village. The structure should translate naturally to phones because the game already alternates between relatively compact diving expeditions and restaurant-management sessions. Touchscreen precision during hectic underwater encounters remains the main usability question.

Dave the Diver also provides an interesting commercial test. Mobile audiences have become accustomed to free-to-play pricing, but recognizable premium ports can still succeed when they offer a complete experience without intrusive monetization. Pre-orders are open ahead of launch, giving Mintrocket several more weeks to build visibility.
