Crypton Future Media has reopened the world of Hatsune Miku Graphy Collection through pre-registration for Mystery Music Comet Re:Merge, a new smartphone game planned for release this autumn. The project revives a mobile series that disappeared more than six years ago when the original Graphy Collection ended service in June 2020. Hatsune Miku is joined by Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO and KAITO in a completely new adventure.

Reviving a discontinued mobile property is an interesting strategy because returning fans bring nostalgia but also strong expectations about how the new game should treat their previous attachment to the brand. Mobile design has changed significantly since the original launched in 2014. Players now expect better account systems, faster interfaces, richer events and more transparent live-service roadmaps. Crypton's advantage is the enduring strength of the Vocaloid characters and music catalogue.

Re:Merge does not need to establish who Hatsune Miku is; it needs to prove that the older Graphy Collection concept is worth rebuilding for modern mobile audiences.
