One UI 9 beta 7 brings Fold-class AI features to Galaxy S26 phones

Samsung is expanding One UI 9 beta 7 on the Galaxy S26 series with features that first appeared on its newest foldables. My FanCam can automatically keep a selected person centred in video and reframe footage for different social-media formats. Now Brief receives customizable cards and can highlight security recommendations, while Now Nudge becomes more proactive about suggesting actions based on current context. Samsung is also refreshing Finder and search interfaces.

The update demonstrates how quickly software exclusivity between Galaxy models is shrinking. Features introduced on a Fold can now reach a conventional flagship within weeks rather than waiting for the following year's hardware. That helps Samsung present Galaxy AI as a platform rather than a collection of device-specific tricks. Beta testers have reported some animation stutters in the newest build, however, showing why Samsung has not yet moved the software to stable release.

Adding functionality is only useful if day-to-day responsiveness remains consistent, particularly on phones marketed as premium flagships.
