Samsung has brought My FanCam to the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra through the latest One UI 9 beta after initially introducing the Galaxy AI feature on newer foldable devices. My FanCam allows users to select a person during video recording and have the phone automatically keep that subject centred in the frame. It can also reformat footage for different social-media aspect ratios, reducing the amount of editing needed before posting.
The feature illustrates how smartphone AI is becoming increasingly practical and camera-specific rather than simply appearing as a generic chatbot. Samsung controls both the camera hardware and its processing software, giving it the ability to integrate tracking directly into the shooting experience. Moving My FanCam to existing S26 devices also shows that the company is shortening the period during which new Galaxy AI tools remain exclusive to particular hardware.
That makes One UI itself a larger part of the Galaxy value proposition. Stable One UI 9 availability will matter more once Samsung has finished resolving beta performance issues.
