Vivo's T5 launches today with specifications aimed squarely at buyers who prioritize battery endurance and smooth displays. The device pairs a 144Hz AMOLED panel with a large 7,050mAh battery and MediaTek's Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset. The combination reflects one of the clearest Android hardware trends of 2026: mainstream phones are rapidly adopting battery capacities that would have been associated with rugged devices only a few years ago.

Advances in silicon-carbon battery chemistry allow manufacturers to increase capacity without making phones proportionally thicker. A 144Hz display also makes the T5 attractive to mobile gamers, although sustained performance will depend on thermal design as much as chipset specifications. Vivo competes in an extremely crowded midrange market where Realme, Poco, Xiaomi, Samsung and others frequently offer similar headline numbers.

The T5 therefore needs good cameras, software and long-term support to distinguish itself beyond raw battery capacity. Even so, today's launch shows how quickly 7,000mAh-class batteries are becoming normalized.
