Realme P4s 5G approaches September 3 sales with an 8,000mAh battery

Realme's P4s 5G enters retail tomorrow with an unusually large 8,000mAh battery, 80W charging, a 144Hz AMOLED display and MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra processor. The phone also uses a dedicated HyperVision+ chip to support frame interpolation in compatible games and includes a large vapour chamber for thermal management. Together, those specifications position the P4s as a gaming-friendly mainstream phone rather than a specialist gaming handset. The standout feature remains battery capacity.

Silicon-carbon technology is allowing manufacturers to fit capacities approaching 8,000mAh into devices that would previously have required thick rugged bodies. That could fundamentally change consumer expectations around endurance. High-refresh gaming still consumes substantial power, but a larger battery gives users much more headroom before reaching the charger. Realme's challenge is translating impressive specifications into consistent software and camera quality.
