NetEase Games and Everstone Studio are expanding Where Winds Meet today with Bamboo Cut – Draught, a new martial-arts style inspired by the unpredictable movement associated with drunken boxing. The September 3 addition arrives as the open-world wuxia RPG enters one of its busiest periods since launch, having recently surpassed 100 million players across its supported platforms, including mobile.
Bamboo Cut – Draught emphasizes irregular movement and deceptive attacks rather than straightforward combinations, giving players another way to approach the game's already broad combat system. The timing is deliberate. Hidden Mountain Chapter 3 is scheduled for September 16 and will conclude the current Hidden Mountain storyline, while NetEase is also preparing an Extraction Mode and the supernatural Ghost Month event.
Where Winds Meet has become an important example of how technically ambitious PC-style open worlds are increasingly being designed around mobile alongside consoles and computers. Today's martial-arts update gives its smartphone audience fresh combat content without requiring a new region or campaign chapter and keeps momentum building toward the larger September expansion.
