Palworld Online pre-registration builds momentum after first mobile gameplay reveal

Garena's Palworld Online continues attracting attention following the September 1 release of its first substantial mobile gameplay trailer and the opening of pre-registration in South Korea. The officially licensed project takes Pocketpair's creature-catching universe in a distinctly online direction, combining open-world exploration, Pal capturing, resource gathering and base building with MMO-style cooperative activities. The footage also highlighted raids, dungeons and player-versus-player encounters.

Unlike a straightforward port of Palworld, Garena is building this as a mobile-focused online game, giving the publisher room to redesign interface, controls, progression and social systems around smartphones. South Korea is currently the main registration market, so the rollout remains deliberately limited. Garena has extensive experience operating enormous mobile communities through Free Fire and other titles, while the Palworld brand brings immediate international recognition.

The combination has obvious potential, but the publisher will need to preserve the unpredictable sandbox appeal that made the original popular rather than reducing the concept to a conventional mobile MMORPG wrapped in familiar creatures.
