Feral Interactive has provided fresh attention to Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris as the cooperative action adventure approaches its September 8 release on iOS and Android. The mobile edition brings Crystal Dynamics' four-player Tomb Raider spin-off to phones and tablets with a try-before-you-buy model, allowing players to test the adaptation before unlocking the complete game.
Temple of Osiris combines isometric exploration, environmental puzzles, traps and combat, with Lara joined by Carter Bell and Egyptian gods Horus and Isis. Multiplayer is an important part of the original design, making the quality of mobile networking and interface adaptation particularly significant. Feral has developed a strong reputation for bringing full PC and console games to smartphones rather than rebuilding them around conventional free-to-play mechanics.
That approach makes Temple of Osiris another example of premium mobile gaming increasingly overlapping with dedicated handheld platforms. With the September 8 launch now only days away, the title is one of the week's most substantial upcoming releases for players who want a complete adventure rather than an endless progression system.
