Meta's Pocket experiment has expanded from Brazil into the United States, bringing its unusual AI-generated mobile experiences to a much larger audience. Pocket allows people to use prompts, photographs, text, touch interactions and sound to create small interactive experiences that Meta calls gizmos. Other users can then play or remix those creations through a discovery feed resembling short-form social media.

The concept effectively asks whether generating tiny games can become as casual as creating a meme or posting a video. That could dramatically widen the number of people making interactive content, but quality control becomes the central problem. Generative systems can produce impressive novelty quickly while also creating enormous volumes of repetitive material. Meta therefore needs recommendation, moderation and attribution systems that make the best experiences discoverable.

Pocket is still an early test rather than a heavily promoted mainstream product. Even so, Meta's scale makes it important. If the experiment works, the dividing line between social content and mobile games could become considerably less clear, with users creating playable posts instead of only watching or reading them.
