Playrix continues testing Austin's Odyssey on Google Play in Australia, Canada, India and the United States, putting the long-serving Gardenscapes and Homescapes character at the centre of his own game. Austin has become unusually recognizable for a casual-game character after years of app-store visibility and increasingly elaborate advertising.

That familiarity gives Playrix a valuable marketing asset: potential users may understand the tone and universe immediately without needing a completely new intellectual property explained to them. Odyssey appears designed to lean more heavily into Austin's personality, comedy and adventures while still drawing on the broader 'scapes design language. The challenge is convincing existing Playrix players that another installation offers something meaningfully different from the games they already use.

Testing across mature Western territories and India's enormous Android market provides a useful spread of behavioral and hardware data. If Odyssey succeeds, it could encourage Playrix to treat its established characters more like an expandable entertainment franchise, allowing recognizable personalities to move between multiple mobile genres rather than remaining tied to one long-running title.
